When needs change, programmes must adapt.

Because need does not arrive in neat categories.

01 Listen to needs identified by communities
02 Develop support where an existing programme does not fit
03 Keep the response grant-based and accountable
What We Explore
02 / 03

Community-led
Emerging needs
Future programmes

The next programme starts with a need.

GFTH's five pillars define where we concentrate, not the limits of what we can support. When a community identifies a need outside our existing programmes, we can develop a response around it.

Need does not arrive in neat categories. GFTH keeps room to respond.

Community Proposal

Have a community need?
Bring the idea.

Have a proposal for your community?

If a community is facing a need that does not fit neatly within an existing GFTH programme, tell us about it. We can explore whether the need, approach and available capacity can come together into a responsible programme.

Talk to GFTH

Good ideas begin with people who know the need.

Share the community need, who it affects, and what kind of support you believe could make a difference.

How GFTH approaches new needs

Grant-based model
01

Listen to the need

Understand the issue from the perspective of the community and the people affected.

02

Assess the response

Consider whether the proposed response fits GFTH's charitable mandate, capacity and accountability requirements.

03

Build responsibly

Where appropriate, develop a grant-based programme with clear delivery and accountability arrangements.
